Moving along the paraspinal muscles and lumbar region can relieve muscle spasms and open up spaces in between vertebrae where spinal nerves pass through. It will also increase circulation as more fresh blood is pumped back into these areas.

Many ashiatsu strokes help to elongate the spine. These movements dramatically stretch shortened muscles, which helps relieve pain and discomfort—helping your body's natural healing process along. To help your body heal effectively, we recommend that you drink plenty of water both before and after a treatment.
